Annual General Assembly Meeting 2019
Elections 2018 – 2021
The Annual General Assembly Meeting took place on November, 30th, 2019, at the Academy’s Documentation and Information Center, in Lisbon, 16 members attending.
The business of the AGM included:
- Discussion of the Board of Directors’ report on the activities of the Academy during the years 2016-2018;
- The Board of Directors’ statement of accounts for the years 2016-2018 with the Chartered Accountant Report and that of the Auditor’s Council;
- Approval of the statement of accounts;
- Election of the Academy Organs for 2018-2021;
- Statement of the results of the ballot for the Academy Organs for 2018 – 2021:

- Investiture of the new members of the Academy Organs for 2018 – 2021.
- Imposition of the Academy’s Medal of Recognition, 3rd class, to Academic João Pedro Teixeira, for his dedication, commitment and spirit of initiative revealed in the process that led to the obtainment and equipment of the Academy’s Documentation and Information Center facilities.
- Statement by the Board of Directors of its Program of Activities and Budget for 2019.
NOTE: Since it was not possible for reasons of force majeure to hold the meetings of the General Assembly in 2017 and 2018, the terms of office of the members of the Governing Bodies were considered extended, pursuant to no. 8 (4) of the Rules of Procedure, until the election and investiture of the new corporate bodies which occurred today.
